Watermelon Wishes Studio Tour

Studio Tour

Hey y’all! I am so happy to be here today and really excited to show you the new studio. Our transition from a retail shop into our now private studio setting took place gradually over a period of four weeks. It was really important to me that this major change be orchestrated with ease and grace. As a direct result of my intention, I can look back and say I never felt rushed or pressured in any fashion and I have absolutely no regrets.

Timeline wise, we moved out of the Middleburg location the third week of July, stored the contents in our garage for a week, and then moved into the new space this past weekend which was the fourth weekend of July. I said a proper goodbye to old space and a proper hello to the new space. Interestingly enough, it was really liberating to lock the door on the retail studio for the last time. I felt a wave of freedom rush over me and I knew I had made the right decision. A big thank you to my husband and children for showing up twice to move me and for allowing me this extra space and time to process the transition. It was well worth the additional effort and I think they will all agree everything went off without a single hitch.

The new space, which we have affectionately dubbed my “World Headquarters”  is even better than I had imagined. It is so quiet and peaceful and I can hardly wait to get settled in my new routine. It was really important to me that the studio be functional, look beautiful and feel inviting. I spent a great deal of time visualizing the various aspects before we moved in and knew there would be areas dedicated to planning and blogging, sewing, storage and supplies. This particular office has several unique features which I especially adore including two built in oversized bulletin boards (which I have fabulously styled) and sleeping loft (which we are in the process of converting into a fabric loft).

I am so thrilled with how everything came together and I hope you will have a look around and let me know what you think! As always, I thank you for your continued interest in my work and appreciation your support and enthusiasm throughout the years. The best, as they say, is yet to come!

Lots of love,

Andrea
