Hip, hip, hooray! It is November. A month that is filled with all of my favorite things: food, family and festivity. This year I will be hosting Thanksgiving Dinner for 8 and cooking for twice that many to ensure we have plenty of leftovers! The day after, we’ll venture out into the woods for our annual holiday family photo shoot, then we’ll busy ourselves decorating the Christmas tree and hanging the lights.
For the last couple of years, we have chosen a theme for our Christmas celebration. Last year we had “A Tiny Christmas” which encompassed a 4 foot tree with teeny little glittery wrapped presents underneath. This years theme is “Joy” and all we shall partake will be centered upon that which brings us joy. Creating in and of itself is joyous, so we are planning several family gift making nights during which we will be creating hand poured hazelnut latte scented soy candles, sewing cloth napkins, baking peppermint cookies and monogramming vintage flannel shirts that have been soaked in an amazing lavender rinse.
And, of course, my heart will be overflowing with joy as I fulfill your holiday orders which I know are for special friends and family. This really is such a wonderful line of work and I want you to know that I put forth a great deal of effort to ensure your special purchases are crafted with the utmost care and arrive in plenty of time for your holiday celebrations. That being said, I encourage you to place your orders by November 24th and sooner if at all possible. Before my next blog post my holiday production schedule will be full and I will be focusing all of my attention on fulfilling existing orders, so please don’t wait too long. I want everyone to get exactly what they want for Christmas! Here are my top five favorites picks for your consideration:
As always, I thank you for reading along and continuing to follow my adventures as a Main Street Artisan. Until we meet again, I will be wishing you all good things!
